msd box
i am wanting to know if anyone has ever wired up a 6al msd box on a gm dual connector coil. i got confused from the diagrams, so i emailed the msd techs and they send me another diagram that looks different than the one that came in the instructions.
This is the one that came in the instructions
http://www.msdignition.com/pdf/6%20series/6series.pdf
what i dont understand is where both pinks and whites come from on the right side of the diagram that the msd red and white wires connect to, are they the other ends of the coil wires that were cut.
the other diagram that the tech sent me, i can find it on their website, but anyway it is different because both set of wires on the coil are not connected together and then connected to the msd wires. on this one, one of the pink is split and one end goes to the msd red and the other end is said that it isnt used, the other pink is split and one end goes to the orange, and the other goes to the msd red.the tach wire isnt used, the other white wire is split, one end to black and the other to the msd white.
if you have a working box, how did you wire it up

From looking at the diagram one pink is the orignal coil power feed the other pink would be the module power feed. One of the whites would be the negtive side of the coil from the module and the other white would be the tach wire. Mike

do u think that the pink and white wires on the coil where the orange and black msd wires go and the pink and white wires on the right side of the diagram where the red and white wires go were the same wires. like the stock setup, where they all were four individual wires, then they were cut and now they are showing where the different ends go, one end goes to the msd orange and black and the other end goes to the msd red and white. hope i explained how i think it is well enough. i just need to know i understand it

sorry i got it all figured out today,i thought one end was suppose to be plugged into the magnetic pickup part. the stock connectors to the coil are taken off and plugged into the bigger end and then the smaller end plugs back into one side of the coil with the harness
