I'm thinking its a small electric motor behind the speedo that is my problem this is a 1990 speedo by the way I have a working 87 speedo will parts off it interchange ?

everything is related to the 1990 electronics in my 82 trans am. yes I am aware of how everything works and if I spin the vss sensor with my ignition key in run position the speedometer works however the odometer never moves

Hmmmmm, and how many times in our lives have we wished there was a way to stop the odometer? Especially on a leased car!
