My 4l60e will loose every gear but first, and then after it cools or after I shift in to park then back to drive it shifts fine (I am not sure which). I scanned the tranny and engine and the only thing that came up wes a tps code in both tranny and engine scan. Does the tps tell the tranny how to shift because of no kick down cable on the 4l60e????

 

yes, the ecu calculates off the tps(amongst other things) for shift control - fix the error code(sensor or wiring) and then see what it does.
