How do I remove the battery if the bolts on the terminals are stripped?

Make sure you get the ground loose first in order to avoid shorting it out.
Vice grips are my second choice now that I got the "sockets" from Sears for removing stripped bolts, they work like a champ.

The battery terminal bolts are so soft you'd probably only end up sharpening them if you tried those.
