spoiler brake light
ok it doesnt wqork
i have continuity accross all points of the light strip. i have 12 volts at the plug. i have 2 good bulbs in the first 2 sockets in the strip(id have more but the bulnbs are 6.99 a piece) when the brake pedal is pressed there is 12 volts at the plug but no voltage at the strip right next to the plug. can someone tell me why it doesnt work???

Check the ground at the ground end of the strip and
maybe need to fill the strip with all the bulbs in.
Not a whiz on electrical but its a shot.
Also on those bulbs, had seen posts as to Radio Shack
having those same bulbs alot cheaper than that.

cool thanks for the info on where to get the bulbs
any other ideas as to why they dont light up people.
the strip grounds through the plug so i know its ok

Your best bet would be to scrap those expensive bulbs and put in a kit from Custom LED Designs I fixed my broken spoiler brake light with it. Sounds like i had the same problem you do. 12 volts at the plug across the panel but after these led's it looks awesome and they're cheaper and wont burn out. OBTW the kit is only $4.50 plus shipping.

I haven't had to look at the Camaro / Firebird brake light, but I had the same problem on my Corvette's center brake light and ended up re-soldering the light socket connections and that seemed to fix my problem.
