defroster lines

defroster lines

I have an 89 RS and it is getting cold up here in wisconsin, and i noticed my rear defroster has a line that is not working right in the middle of my vision. Is there ANYTHING i can do about this to get this line working again???

yea, there's a method in every haynes manual on how to do it. Not sure how well it works or anything.

Involves a multi meter to find where the break is, then putting some scotch tape above and below the break, scuff up the area, then I think soldering some new metal where the break is. Then remove excess, clean up the area around it, and maybe coat it to prevent oxidation.
Sound doable?
