Need some electrical help...
82 TA. LG4 Manual trans. Have (2) problems.
1) wipers blow fuse once turning on.
2) no parking lights. front / rear or side. Have headlights and backup / stop lights.
took dash panel down and found these (2) items. One is a brown wire (left of pic dangling near fuse box). Where does this go? It is all brown. Nothing else on insulation. Also what is 2 prong device dangling down on the right of pic?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dean

**Update** I also noticed a white wire that was cut as well. So I have a brown and white wire that were cut, dangling from under the steering column and not parking / dash lights.
Were does this brown wire and white wire go? I don't see another brown or white wire cut anywhere.
Thanks

hey we"ve all got our electrical problems right? i have no idea what the brown wire goes to, but the connector on the right is part of the cruise circuit. it connects to the switch for the brake pedal to turn off the CC.

The brown wire may go to the clutch start switch on the clutch pedal. Check that first. The lights not working may be a blown fuse or fusible link or a bad ground. Get a wiring diagram from the autozone web site and check for power to the lights.

Thanks for your reply. Fuses are good for the parking lights / taillights. Car starts but maybe the brown wire was redone somehow.
Man, if I can just get the parking lights and side markers to work, I am all there and can get the car on the road. So Close!

Ok..got the wiring diagram from autozone. found the brown and white wires. One question...what is an ISOLATION RELAY? It shows the white wire going to an isolation relay. What is this and where is it located?
Thanks,
