ac wiring 1986 bird

Have just completed 305 to 350 engine swap in a TA 1986. Do I need to wire anything different for the A/C since i no longer use the ECM ? Now running carb that is not comp controlled with HEI.

Not really. There was an AC Pressure Switch that would tell the ECM to raise the idle a bit when the compressor turns on. That was to keep the additional load from bogging the car down or killing it.

Carbs accomplish the same thing with a (I forget the exact name, so I shall call it the) "A/C idle kickup solenoid". lol. It's basically a solenoid that will extend and push the throttle blades open a slight amount to raise the throttle when the AC turns on.
