fog light question

fog light question

ok people.. i got a nasty one here

i got a 92 ta... and wellmy fogs are not working. if i change the fuse when they work, but for like 2 minutes, then the fuse blows and its all done. i know there is a grounded wire somewhere... but i can find it.. and i dont really want to redo my electrical for that.. any help.. i dont know who to read wireing diagrams so i SOL there

is there any way i could check the location of this wire etc

Try removing the fog light housing and check the wiring from the bulb to the connector and that the clip holding the bulb to the housing is tight. This clip has to be tight as it is what makes the ground connection (GM really outdid themselves with this design).

yea i check one side, but gave up. i dont really know to much about elcrtical and im sort of scared to get started and fixing it. il check both sides, and grounds. but i dont think thats the problem, like they truen on but fi i hit a bump they will blow the fuse, i dunno if its the ground doing that, i think its a wire goign to or from the lights that is striped or crimped etc

If it blows the fuse when you hit a bump it very well could be a loose bulb in the housing. Check both sides since they share the same "hot" wire.

Like I tried to say before, the ground is actually the collar of the bulb and the housing. There isn't a separate ground wire running to the lights.
