Corrosion Removal
Ok electronics guru's - need help. I need to know if there is a way to remove built-up corrosion off the copper tabs and pieces inside a light housing - specifically I managed to get hold of a center console flashlight, but it's corroded inside - especially the light bulb socket. Any easy way to get rid of it? Anything I can spray on and brush with a toothbrush to clean it all up without destroying the copper contacts and such? Thanks.

For rusty iron details use rust-eater gel containing 10% phosphorous acid.
For copper details use ordinary household copper & brass polish.
Use q-tips if neccessary to apply to specific parts.
Glass-bead blasting could be considered, using low pressure, but be careful.
