*sigh, Hatch Pull Down
Alrighty here is my issue....
I own an 87 GTA, it had the power hatch pull down in it. Someone welded it closed and chucked the motor.
I found another full unit in a junk yard and got it for 10 bucks. It was out of an 86, now since I had no wiring to go by im kinda lost.
I have all the wires hooked up to where they should go, (one wire snapped of the little black piece that hooks to lock part) and im assuming the motor unit uses this to move. But the two Large black conectors at the end of the hatch unit, and of my cars wiring harness, dont match. The one in my car is 5 in a row, the other is 3 x 2... Did they change the plugs from 86 - 87??
Did what I ask make any sence..? Ill post pics once im outta the shop, try make it easier...
Oh and the hatch electric pop option works great, so I know I have power back there
Thanks!

The electric pop is a separate circuit. the little black switch senses wether the hatch is open or closed.there should be a relay there aswell.
check out www.topdownsolutions usefull inf there. i had problems with coroded contacts inside the switches, carfully drilled the tiny rivets, cleaned and used small screws to reassemble. watch out for small springs that fly. all works now

Hey, by the looks of that all I need is the relay to go on the end of the hatch motor unit. Thank you
