Bulldog Starter
I'm wondering what anyone thinks about Bulldog remote starters? I'm considering getting one for my winter vehicle, and possibly the 88 IROC, but wasn't sure if they're quality or junk. I have a JC Whitney coupon that I need to spend before it expires, so figured it might be worth it.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Car: Only a daily driver, but comin home
Engine: I have one that runs ;)
Transmission: Caged hamster that runs really fast
Axle/Gears: They are round, I know that much
I am going to install one on my fiance's parents Exploder.....try googling the brand, but the instuctions seem easy enough, and 1/2 the wires you wont need
I have one on my 91 bird, 98 lumina, and 07 rav 4. I like bulldog's products and if you go on there site you can get a wiring diagram just from your model car, colors and all.

I have had a Bulldog alarm for 7 years and can't complain at all. I even broke the remotes, got them wet (in the ocean) and so on but it's still ticking.
I also bought an Astra knockoff for my other vehicle and that, on the other hand, is a pain in the butt. It seems to pop the trunk for fun, while driving.
But the Bulldog is running strong, still ticking.

If you get the Bulldog Remote Starts, such as the Deluxe500, you can buy a T Harness from Bulldog that is supposed to save 70% install time. If you have VATS in your car, you will have to buy a bypass from Bulldog as well. They don't include those in their kits.
I have the bulldog rs1300 in my 91 bird and it gives me keyless entry, remote start, trunk pop. You can use a t harness but I know I mine it was very difficult to try to install the t harness because you need to remove to the connectors that are tucked up under the dash that are hard to get to, and then you have to plug the connectors back in a certain order while watching that you don't bend a pin. I spent about an hour trying before I gave up and just cut back the insulation on the wires and spliced them in.
One winter I managed my friends Auto Center. They would sell approximately 150-200 remote starters, and install them. We through installing them, maybe one or two would come back because of a dead battery in the remote (nothing serious). The next year he switched to Bull Dog remote starters. We had almost half the installs come back!! The modules were poorley made. It is no wonder you can get this product in a Wal-Mart............. Pay the extra dollar for a good product (anything but Bull Dog) , and save the stress!
