i switched the complete steering column in my 91 camaro i used the old vats unite, in order to do that i took both keys to a dealership had them cut the right design for the starter switch and the carbon chip for the old vats unite, so when i try to start my car it acts like it is in gear or something, checked all gear linkages and they are good, the check engine light is staying on and when checked it gave code 53 i am very confused can anyone help?

 

did you use your old ignition cylinder....if you switch to your old ignition cylinder, it will work. just run the vats wires down the column, and plug it in, it will work, well.!
