where does the alternator plug go?
ok i justput my new motor in and am hooking al the stuff up to try to get it fired tonight, and i came to a little delema, where does the plug that plugs into the top of the alternator go, the #2 wire(red) its short(liek 4") and has a loop conector on the end. where does it go to? is it a ground? i cant remember where it came from because the #1 black wire that goes from the plug to the wireing harness pulled out of the plug so i cut the plug off and added new conectors, now i have just about everything hooked up but i dont wanna just assume its a ground and short it out by accident.

The red short wire goes to the back of the alternator. There is a stud there for it. It controls the internal regulator and tells the alternator when to charge.
