umm why is it still here?
Hi, ok i have a 84 non cc carb/distriburor, no emissions b.s. but for some reason i still have a wired up Computer. Why would my car need this, what would it controll?

nothing cept 700r4 lockup if so equipped
i removed the entire computer harness from my 82 but i have a th350 in it no lockup and swapped on non-EST carb and HEI

W/o the cc carb & dist the computer would be in limp mode anyway (doesn't the CEL light or is the bulb pulled?), & refuse to control the lockup, so you might just as well pull it, except if it controls fans & A/C then you might have to wire around that. Try to just unplug it and see what happens. There are different lockup kits available, & you could even make up one yourself relatively easy.

the ECM has nothing to do with the a/c
whole different circuit and harness, it is in the main car harness, the ECM harness is all by itself and the TCC lockup is in it though
