uh-oh, flat spot on bearing? SC to TB tube?

Umm, well I just told a buddy of mine that I would buy his Paxton SC. It has around 40k miles on it total, and was rebuilt sometime recently. I've been in the vehicle it was installed in (amazing to see a full-size 4WD Subruban do a burnout) and it seems to work great. But I turned the pulley a little while ago and felt a flat spot, sorta like in the bearing race. Didn't notice it before. Very small one. Anybody experience this? If the bearing is bad, how hard is it to change? Cost? Don't want to start a fresh motor and blow some parts into it. The guy's a GM master tech, but I want to use anything as a bargaining chip. I have the $$$ ($1400 with BTM, etc...)but the money's still in my pocket. Any help would be great. The only thing missing is the tube to the throttle body for TPI, where can I get one? Thanks

BTW: I have seen this blower push 10 lbs. boost, in case that helps.

There is a little info on balldrive flatspotting here, https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/...ML/000532.html

You can see a post about getting a paxton rebuilt here https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/...ML/000900.html there is another link on that post to more info.

You might get lucky and find a discharge tube used somewhere but I wouldn't plan on it. A new one from the manufacturer would be expensive.
