92 Firebird Passkey location

I recently put a new 305 tbi engine in my firebird. since then it wont crank, and has no fuel pressure, I put new ignition, starter, starter relay its got to be the passkey module but where is it, Ive heard left kick panel but its not there it seems some firebirds have a four wire relay there but mine doesnt. The crank fuse has no power also. Ive swapped every module and relay that is visible on the left and right side. It seems chilton wire skematics are not very accurate the show every year to be the same. can you held or tell me about a better repair manuel?

Re: 92 Firebird Passkey location

The VATS or pass key module is normally located in a very difficult location behind the dash near the center of the car. You normally have to take the dash completly out to get to it. I could be wrong since i dont work on birds a whole lot. The VATS starter relay its normally located on the drivers side behind the lower kick panel and is covered with some black sticky junk (kinda hidden in a hole in the sheet metal) it should have two large yellow wires and some small green ones i think. Just jumper around the relay and it it starts then its most likely that the relay is bad or you do indeed have a problem with the vats module. Its been my experience that the when there is a problem with VATS it normally disables the injectors and thats it, not to say that it wouldn't mess with the starter circuit.
