how many wires are going to your starter? the reason i ask is that when i took my old one off there was only like 4 wires coming off the big terminal,and 1 coming off the little one.now the new harness has alot more wires and i don't know where they go.but it looks like ,by the size of the wire ends,that they all go on the big one ,except the 1 that is purple.any ideas?

 

The last time I replaced my starter there were 22 wires in all colors, I just hooked them all up to the + I would suppose the starter came with a diagram or instructions Possibly a search would be at your aid

 

i just looked again and there are 5 other wires ,other than the purple one
