ESC module

Is there any way of telling the difference between the 305 and 350 esc modules just by the numbers stamped on them? I know they look identical but I went to a junk yard and saw quite a few, but couldn't tell which is which. I need one for a 350. Thanks in advance.

Re: ESC module

Yes, look at the numbers stamped into the plastic on the front. The one that came in the ZZ conversion kit ( # 16128261 ) was also used in 350 caprice, 1988 to 1994 (?) pick up truck w/ tbi, all kinds of stuff. I got one out of a van.

The same vehichles also got other numbered ones as well though. I don't know if you need that specific part number, or any of them from a 350 will work.

Re: ESC module

The number 16128261 was stamped on two of the modules I saw yesterday. I'll go buy it today. Thanks for the info.
