analog to elctronic speedo

I have an 85 Trans Am, with the 85MPH speedometer. I would really like to have the 86-up 140MPH cluster, as I think it looks much better.

Does anyone know what's involved/how much work it is to convert to an electronic speedometer? Has any on here done it?

Re: analog to elctronic speedo

it's not terribly difficult.

http://www.hioutput.com/tech/speedo.html

this came from the tech articles here.. though the link needs to be updated

Also you can use a buffer box from a TBI thirdgen 88-92 as they are the same
