I bought an 88 GTA that had a TH350 swapped in by the previous owner. I plan on buying a conversion from Dakota Digital to make the cable speedo output work with my factory electronic speedo. However it appears that these wires were cut because I have no wires at all down by the transmission. What color wires am I looking for? And how were they routed - down from the firewall or through the body? Any help will be appreciated.

 

There should be a two-wire plug with a purple and yellow wire near the left side of the transmisison. The wires in the main engine harness and are routed backward from a breakout near the distributor.
