awhile back whenever i went to start my car i would turn it over and it would click. which meant my solenoid was bad, correct? well i replaced it and have been driving on it for a week in which it was great. then yesterday i went to start it and nothing happend when i turned the key over. i turn it over again and it starts right up. this morning i turn it over and get a click. turn it over and it starts right up. later in the day it takes like..5 times..Whats going on!?!?!?!

I would say heat soak. Get some wrap or make a shield for it.

When you had the starter out did you check the Bendix drive, condition of teeth on drive gear and condition of armature bushings? You could have a problem with them as well. You could also have a problem with brushes worn. Solenoid could be working fine - If you hear the click, the drive gear could be pushed out to try & engage the flywheel, but if there is a problem with the starter motor, it won't turn over. You might need to pull the starter down & get inside.
