Push Button Start for 86 Z-28

I've seen several posts for push button starters and remote starters, but none seemed to solve my problem. I've consulted my Haynes and Chilton and have been to countless websites for wiring diagrams. I am wanting to wire a mounted push-button start but still be able to use the key. I will still be using the key to activate the ACC tronics. Once I dropped the steering column and got a good look at the ignition switch, I was a bit confused. On the end closest to the steering wheel, there was a blue wiring harness with 2 red, 1 yellow, and 1 purple wire. Toward the firewall there was a black harness with many other different color wires. Could anyone tell me which are the two wires to connect the button to. My hunch was to connect the yellow and purple, but I can't find anything backing that up.

The purple wire is the wire used to start the car. Provide power to that wire and then engine should turn over.

I was able to get a little better access to the wiring harness today. Using a test light, the purple wire was the ACC hot wire and the yellow wire hot during crank. Using these wires, the push-button start was wired up without any problem and works fine.
