Re: will bad pump shut off injectors?
Nope.
There is no feedback between the pump and the injectors. The injectors will try to open even if there is zero fuel pressure. There is no fuel pressure sender on our cars to tell the ECM.

Re: will bad pump shut off injectors?
Do the pink/black and pink wires on the injectors have 12V?
If not, it's a power problem (fuse, wiring).
Do you see no ground pulses on the blue and green wires on the injectors?
If not, it's an ECM or VATS problem (or wiring again).

ok, i edited my profile thanks bringing it to my attn. it's probably the vats. it's just hard to believe that 2 different vats systems could be bad,2 different ecm.i traced wires, none broke or anything it must be the vats decoder ,cuz, the key measures out with the wires i even did the resistor deal and still no injectors.

Re: will bad pump shut off injectors?
I'm still not sure what exactly is the problem. Are you missing 12V on the injectors or the grounding pulses from the ECM?
If I can assume it's the grounding of the injectors , you can try grounding pins D14 and D15 on the ECM (with key ON) and checking if that squirts fuel into the intake. If not, it would point to a wiring issue between ECM and injectors.

Re: will bad pump shut off injectors?
grouding the pins had no effect.however when i traced my injector wires down the red and white ended up going to a clear looking connector that plugs into nothing.the clear connector ran down by the ecm ,but branched off.i dont ever remember it being plugged into anything.

Re: will bad pump shut off injectors?
Alright, progress.
First of all, these wire colors definitely don't correspond to GM wiring diagrams. Not sure what that's all about. Engine swap maybe?
As for the injector grounding. If you have 12V to the injectors (verify with a voltmeter) with the key ON and you ground the OTHER wire on the injectors, does the clicking come from the injector itself? If so, that would mean that they MOST likely work.
Now why aren't they spraying fuel? Did you check fuel pressure at the throttle body?
