A bit misleading of a title I suppose, but not entirely. Hopefully I'll get a decent response here, otherwise I guess I can repost in the TPI forum?

I've got an '88 TPI setup, I need to add cruise. I know the throttle cables changed the way they attach to the throttle body somewhere between '86-92, but I don't have access to anymore Camaro's to know if the cruise cables did as well.

I know I can make all the electronics and vacuum stuff work, but if buying a setup from someone in the classified section here, I'd like to know whether year (as long as TPI) is material or immaterial.

I can't really say what's years are different, but on my cobbled together TPI system on my '87 we used a cruise cable from a '92 with an '86 plenum and bracket. I hope that helps.

 

That does help. My setup is cobbled together as well actually, but I was told all the parts were '87-88, except the plenum which was obviously '90-92 as it had a MAP sensor bolted to it.

Can you answer how the cable attached to the TB? I *think* mine has a stud with a little clip on it (identical to carb throttle cable connection) that is going unused, and should have a third I guess, for a 700 TV cable.
