Erratic headlight motors

Its on my 1986 firebird, One headlight would come up and not go down and the other would do nothing. I took both motors apart seeing if they needed the nylon gear replaced, they dont. both of them spin when giving volts.

Where in the electircal for these motors could my problem be? headlight switch?

Re: Erratic headlight motors

look at the headlight motor controller on the firewall next to the brake booster, take the connectors and tighten the connector pins.the way to check it is to have an assistant operate the headlights and wiggle the connector and you will see the motors will work.
