well,i tried putting car back together,hooked evereything up dash,steering colum etc. as soon as i touched pos . cable up to battery i heard a pop and smoke came rolling out from under the dash. any ideas? no melted wires or anything just accessory fuse blowed.

 

Evidently the insulation on a hot wire has been damaged and going to ground or you have something connected wrong. The smoke comes from wire insulation or teminal melting.

 

yep, i found it.the wire going to the arc radio somehow pooped out of the tape enuff to get pinched between the colum when i tightened it up.man what a mess.try to fix it or put a new one in ?
