Simple question about foglights and highbeams

I have an 87 Trans Am. And as we all know, when I turn on my highbeams, the fog lights turn off. What has to be done in order for the foglights not to turn off? I've read some of you say its rather easy, can anyone help me out?

SUPER EASY! I'm partially paralyzed on my entire left side, and it only took me about 5 minutes!

Fog Lights on with high beam headlights upgrade.

On a side note, here's a way to brighten up your fog lights...

Ah yes, thank you gentlemen, thats EXACTLY what I was looking for! Just did it a couple of minutes ago and works great, now I can turn on those highbeams and still have good peripheral lighting on these Southern roads

Do the light output upgrade, and you'll get more of the light from your fog lights, instead of having that stupid shield inside, blocking the light.

Re: Simple question about foglights and highbeams

I would, but I already have aftermarket fog lights, but I did read that and I did think thats interesting. I still have my stock ones in the garage, so I'll go and check that out just for future reference...

Re: Simple question about foglights and highbeams

Ah....I've got an extra one I've already done it to, and 2 more I plan on doing. I've just been lazy about doing it, since I'm in no hurry.

I was able to do it to my spare one, swap it for the driver's side, mod the original driver's side, then swap the bulb for the passenger side. That way, all I had to do was R&R, and I was done, instead of R, mod, R, then done.

Now I wanna do the "sleepy eye" mod to my headlights.

sleepy eye mod? That gets me thinking, I think it would be interesting (and incredibly pointless) to rig up a switch to be able to flip up one light at a time instead of both at once... maybe "wink" at a car across the intersection?
ps.Stephen, are you selling the STS yet?

Thanks Lou! Yep, already shipped a few out.

Sleepy eyes....Instead of the headlights coming uo so far, giving the frog/bug eyed look, they use shorter lights, and the lights only come up about half way.

Here is a Photoshopped version, but you get the idea..
