Fuse for power antenna?
Fuse for power antenna?
Have an '89 T/A that had a broken power antenna. I ordered a GM OEM replacement for it and installed. Doesn't work. Couple of questions:
1. Is there a seperate fuse for the power antenna? If so, where in the fuse box is it located.
2. Is there anything between the antenna and the radio as far as the cable. is concerned. I'm talking about the signal cable.
I'm putting in a new radio and speakers. So, I will pull the fenderskirt again and try and diagnose/repair. I'm just hoping that it's something simple like I got it wired wrong or, if there is a fuse, that the fuse is blown or missing.
*** UPDATE - FIXED ***
After reading some more threads here, I found that when the antenna died on the previous owner, that he disconnected the antenna wiring from the relay. I plugged it back in and VOILA!!! I now have a functioning power antenna.
Pretty excited as my new Pioneer setup arrives this week and this is one thing off my plate!
