Voltage for Factory Tach + Auotmeter Tach Adapter
How many volts does the stock tach run off of? Is it 5V or 12V? Reason I am asking is because I was thinking about using this to get my V6 firebird tach to work with my ignition module from an 87 grand national.

But they said that it is for aftermarket tachs that require 12V and most stock tachs require only 5V and that it might fry it. But I had another person insist that the stock tach on my 91 firebird requires 12V and that it won't fry anything. So does anyone know for sure? Will this work?
