So my starter died in my 400 sb and I bought the same starter as I had before which was a high torque mini starter part # 170-100SBP. With my old starter it would grind every once in a while but start up for the most part every single time. When I got the new starter I made sure that everything was the same I even used the same shims I had before. It started up fine on the first start up but then the starter started to become loose so I tighted it as much as I could. Now when i go to start it it grinds very bad. What should I do?
