OUT OF MY WITS END
HEY GUYS I LOVE THE WEBSITE IT GIVES ME GREAT INFO ON ALL I NEED. I'M HAVING A PROBLEM WITH MY ALTERNATOR BROWN WIRE WON'T HAVE CURRENT WHEN THE CAR IS ON IT DOES NOT CHARGE AT ALL DID THE SEARCHES BUT CAME UP EMPTY THE RED WIRE I RAN DIRECTLY TO THE ALTERNATOR. WHEN THE CAR IS OFF THE REAR RED WIRE HAS CURRENT.TO BE FAIR THE CAR HAS BAD RELAY CONNECTORS THEY ARE ALL SHOT I'M WORKING ON REPLACING THEM ALL TO SEE IF IT ILLIVIATES MY PROBLEM IF ONE THIS RELAYS IS THE PROBLEM PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I NEED SERIOUS HELP THIS CAR IS GIVING SERIOUS HELL OR MAYBE I JUST DONT KNOW HOW TO MESS WITH IT THE WIRE HAS CURRENT AT THE ON POSITION ENGINE OFF ALL THE WAY TO THE HARRNESS CONNECTOR...SORRY FOR THE LONG POST BUT THE HELP IS APPRECIATED...THANKS IN ADVANCE IF YOU NEED MORE INFO LET ME KNOW

you should run by a battery shop and let them check the charging system real quick its free at the shop i go to and it only take a minute to do i run vehicles by them all the time
anyways i bet its something minor
make sure the red wires are ending up at the battery also
if youre not sure they do then run a wire the same size from the positive post to the red wires on the alt
is the charge light on ?
the brown wire should simply run from the alt and into the car main bulkhead connector
usually the brown wire runs first to the courtesy panel under the dash, to one of those relays
in alot of cases, but not always
if there is a problem with that panel then that may be it
good luck
anyways i bet its something minor

Randy82WS7 witch relay are you talking about ? Is there a relay under the dash? Or the once under the hood?...thought those were for maf fp and cooling fan
