Starters

Looks like I may be replacing a starter this weekend. Sitting here at work anticipating the agony i face. The last time I did this on my firebird it was hell getting the old one out because its so tight in there. I remember to put the new one in, I had to remove the solonoid first, put the starter in and then attach the solonoid using a tiny wrench. By the time i was finished the old hand looked like hamburger. And mind you now I have headers so I have no idea if its going to be worse or better down there.

I had the idea of getting a mini starter just because it seems like it would go in easier, but I dont know if the cost is worth it. And I dont think i can just run by advance and pick one up. not sure.

ANyway, I want a good quality starter thats not going to go out in a year, and if possible something slimmer or smaller and readily available at advance autozone, napa etc.

Also if anyone has a recommendation or any tips on the install they would be greatly appreciated. I guess i could take off part of the exhaust-

I will be taking off the right wheel and jacking , jack stand placed somewhere , umm i cant reemmber the best spot. that allows it to be out of my way, and safe.
