MY ESC
I have a 1982 crossfire, with 355 eng, and a 7747 ecm with prominator,-- I added a 1989 full size van, knock sensor as i was getting false knocks with the 82 unit.--- I was told to change the esc[electronic spark module[ - so i got one , but need a wiring color or more inportant location of where my stock wires go to at the NEW esc. any help would be great

On the 82 ESC
Terminal A - Shield, circuit 454 >>>>> to ESC Sensor
Terminal B - DR. BLU, circuit 496 >>> to ESC Sensor
Terminal C - No Connection
Terminal D - No Connection
Terminal E - No Connection
Terminal F - PINK/BK circuit 439 >>555 ECM White Connnector, Term 15 & Term F of connector to the left of the ECM connectors under the passenger's dash
Terminal G - No Connection
Terminal H - No Connection
Terminal J - BLACK, circuit 485 >>>>>555 ECM White Connector, Term 4
Terminal K - BRN, circuit 486 >>>>>>>Ground Connection under screw and BLK/WH to 555 ECM White Connector Term 12 & 13
Signals for the ESC are
Terminal A - ESC SENSOR GROUND
Terminal B - ESC SENSOR INPUT
Terminal F - 12V IGNITION FUSED
Terminal G - EST SIGNAL FULL INJECTION
Termianl H - EST DIST LO FULL INJECTION
Terminal J - SPARK RETARD
Terminal K - ESC GROUND
Hope you still have the 555 ECM terminal connections diagram I posted earlier this year for you.

Terminal C - No Connection
Terminal D - No Connection
Terminal E - No Connection

hey dave thanks, BUT im confused of what u posted.---my stock esc has 5 wires and the newer has 5 term.-- what u posted is ???------gettind cofused .--- i no my colors to my orig esc,- brown,- black,- pink/bl,- blue, and one that is bare.---and what each of them go to and from, BUT- my newer esc has 5 term but need to no where thos wires go on new esc. AS IT HAS NO lettering of the pins

Sorry if I confused you. I just copied what was in the shop manual wiring diagram. They show a ESC module that has several unused terminals. It could be that the production module only had 5 terminals. I have not looked at the ESC module in my car because I don't know where it is installed. (Under the dash behind the radio?)
Did the packaging have a connection diagram on it, or installation instructions???? If not, can you go back to where you bought it and ask them for the diagram or instructions?
I would think that if the repacement module is also a GM unit the terminals would be the same on both units, in which case you remove the old one, install the new one and reconnect the wires in the same postions as they were connected on the old one. But I would prefer to make the connections based on a wiring or connection diagram.
