White Wire and Sensor
I have a 1989 iroc 5.7L TPI. Hanging around the Starter area is a white wire with no connector; where would this go? It is hanging off the same harness opening where the rest of the starter wires are. So far it looks like I have all the required wires connected to the starter.
Plus if your under the same area you would see the knock sensor and above that to the rear of vehicle on the block is another sensor with same type of connection as the knock but white plastic in color, the knock sensor has a black one. Seems like i don't have any more wires left to connect for that sensor. (could the white wire be for that? and If so where should i buy the connector)
Tried looking on this forum, but haven't had much luck because i don't know the correct search term for these items. Looked on wiring diagrams with no luck.

Re: White Wire and Sensor
I'd trace the white wire to see if it maybe changes color in the wiring loom. It could have been burned by the exhaust and replaced with the wrong color.
Once you know the original color, you'll know where it goes.
That'd be my guess.
