Instrument Panel fuse?

Hey, today I was unplugging out the non-functioning climate control unit, and was ingorant to unplug the negative terminal of the battery like I should of, and I come to find that the key was in the 'run' position . I snipped the light bulb wires, and see the spark. (I had the assumption the power was off because the bulb was dead) Next thing I know, the gauge backlight doesn't work. I'm not sure about other things not working...thats all I notice. (I tested the now cut wire, and that wasnt hot)

I am reasoning that it must be part of a circuit that controls the 'other' lights when your headlights are on, and that I blew a fuse on that, but I didnt do too much looking around because I was low on time. Obviously, I don't care about the "climate control light," but I do need my gauge lights back on. Where should I start?

Thanks for your help,
Matt

Re: Instrument Panel fuse?

Just insulate the wires you cut and replace the blown fuse,............

Re: Instrument Panel fuse?

I checked out the fuse box to look for a blown fuse, and none looked blown. Which fuse would it be to take a closer look?
