91 t5 into 87 speedo?

91 t5 into 87 speedo?
i heard that the cable speedos wont work in the newer t5s. any ways around it or do i need to find an electronic one somewhere?

You just need the correct Speedo Sending unit to plug into the tranny. You may also find that the speedo Gears themselves are slightly different depending on what was in your car originally and what the replacement tranny was pulled from, So be sure to check into the speedo gears while working on the replacement speedo sending unit !!!
P.S. I have an 87 T5 hooked up to a 91 Dash system in one of my cars - I Just had to find the right sending unit !
