can i hardwire this into the car?

i have an old school bottle heater for my nitrous botlle it is setup to run off 110 volt. like an electrical plug in in the house. i have an inverter but my cig lighter is in the front of the car and bottle is in the back i have my amp in the back so i could hardwire the heater into the power and ground coming into the amp. is this possible if so how could i do it?

does your amp run on 110v? :P
now if you had asked if you could hardwire your inverter, then yes.. it however sounds a silly thing todo to use a bottle heater not intended for your car, you could probably just as easily make the bottle heater use 12v.. i dont know the construction of said device but using electricity for heat is not a very magical operation :P

i would answer but im not sure what would be involved in doing that, just thinking aloud here I guess, there cant be that many parts to it heh
you can easily hardwire any inverter or anything that uses the lighter plug, just +/-

Re: can i hardwire this into the car?

First, make sure the inverter is powerful enough for the heater.
Second, wired in back there the inverter might introduce noise to the amp.. I'd place the inverter in a relatively cool and protected place up front and then run the 110V back to the bottle. Less loss that way.
Redoing the heater for 12V might be possible but is usually not a project for the inexperienced. It could be relatively easy but could also be hopeless..
