Tach Prblems

I have a 91 Camaro RS, when I place the key to Acc. the tach goes from end to end, but never recovers. The tach stays all the way at red line when the car is running. Any suggestions?

Re: Tach Prblems

It is very likely that the tach driver module is bad. It's the small circuit board inside the instrument cluster, just behind the thachometer. You can replace it with another one or you can try to fix it. Search for a Tachometer Fix in this forum and you'll find a lot of links but one in particular that contains a lot of good advice.
