Engine swap left extra wires

i just put a modified 355 into my 83 z28 replacing the old 305. The engine was carberated and still is carberated however it had a computer which i would guess ran all the emission equipment. Since I am not putting the emission stuff back in I have a bunch of extra wires. I unhooked the wire harness from the rest of the wires but Im wondering if theres wires that i need for the car to run that go through the computer to the dashboard. Since i dont have a computer anymore, I need to know if theres any wires i needed in the wire harness or if the basic wires that were left behind will work. thanks

I just did this. I left all the wires, as it's not hurting anything with them being there, but the the things that you need are the ignition wires. The other wires pretty much goto the sensors. I would leave them. But the wires that goto the carb and the distributor, from the computer, can be taken out.

I figured it out. theres a connector that connects the positve battery cable to the wiring harness. As long as your not using all the emissions stuff or the computer, just on hook the harness and it will leave you with all the wires you need for you car to run. The wires now go from you positive cable to the starter and all the wires you need are there go behing the engine. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. I just finished my swap a few weeks ago and everythings perfect.
