I just bought a 91 RS, the kid I bought it from tryed to set it up for drag racing and failed. The dash is my main concern, everything on the console works but the speedometer and the tach. Speedometer and Odometer both are dead. Gear in tranny is brand new, speed senor is brand new. I'm kinda stumped on that part. The Tach is a different game, when the car is in the run position ( by key ) the tach will go to 7000, and never recover. Coil is brain new Dist. is brand new. Just curious if I could get some help. Thanks.

 

does the tach have a selector switch for # of cylinders? if so maybe its set wrong. good connections to the dizzy, batt, and ground?
