stupid starting problem. Plz help.
My 84 Z28 is having starting issues. it is now a T5 (thx to the swap i did from the AT a few yrs. ago) so I can always pop-start.
PROBLEM: Every now and then when I turn the key nothing happens. I found out that kicking under the dash would correct this. My ign. switch is new; both key cyl. and elec. switch.
Then when that stopped working I found that wiggling the starter sol. wire at the starter would get it going, so I tightened the nut on that connection and the problem went away for a good while.
Now it's back, the starter is less than 6 mos. old. whacking the starter, wiggling the wires, nothing is working anymore.
Any suggestions?

Is the solenoid new or used? If it's old look at replacing it but have a parts store test it first.
