Cluster help

I have a 90 GTA and none of my gauges work only gauge lights my speedo just goes up and down and some times just stays at 20 tach doesnt work at all. any help would be awesome thanks

Have you looked at your fuses?

There is a fuse that provides power to the gauges. It's located in the main fuse panel... If the fuse is good, then you might have a bad contact at the connector where the car's wire harness connects to the printed circuit board behind the gauge cluster.

If your fuse is OK, you'll have to pull the instrument panel and inspect the back of it.. Unplug and plug in the connectors several times. That should remove any corrosion on the contacts that might be causing a bad connection... Also inspect the printed circuit board for any obvious cracks or tears..

Just to add.... The wire that carries the power to the gauges is pink and black... It will be in the harness that connects to the back of the instrument panel.. If you have a volt meter, make sure there is 12 volts there when the ignition is on.
