wire melted... now what?

Car: 91 Camaro RS
Engine: 305 TBI
Transmission: 700R4
wire melted... now what?
just bought this car...
i set the alarm on it...walk away for 15 minutes and i come back and the car looks all fogged up
all smoke.... so i disarm and opened all the windows
i found like 4 wires that were just cut laying there (not burnt) and one wire that was connected to a wire and after the connecter is burnt but it isn't connected to anything else.
no fuse was popped....
how do i go about fixing this....
do i just replace the patches of wire? or what do i need to find and look for?
