89 firebird wont start?????vats starter?
alright well im buying a donor car but the guy im buying it from boughtit from a kid who said it wont crank because of the vats system. i dont need teh car to start i just need it to crank.
so first question. is there a quick way to bypass it .
can you hook a starter switch up to the start and just have the key in the on postion then could it crank? i know nothing about vats i know the car im putting the stuff into does. and i would like to know a little my search button isnt working. the motor can be turned by hand and i will be driving 4 hours to get it. soo anything helps me here

just touch the battery cable terminal on the starter to the purple wire on the starter and it will crank ... just buy a cheapo remote starter from pepboys to do this. ... won't start though because vats is still shutting fuel off but it will crank over like that.
