Turn signal problem.
Turn signal problem.
I just got this 87 Iroc 2 weeks ago, the right turn signal only lights the rear and does not blink. The front doesnt work at all. When I turn on the hazards all 4 corners work as they are suposed to. I did check and replace the front bulb. The left side, front and rear work. Could the problem be inside the colum? The car only has 90500 miles on it, everything else works except the rear hatch pulldown. But it will be fixed soon, thanks to the info I got from this site. Thanks for any advice.

Re: Turn signal problem.
your problem maybe the rear bulb, make sure the connections to the rear turn signal is clean and that the prongs are plugged in as they should, and then check the front wires to make sure there is no rust or deterioration of the wires or the socket. I do believe it's the rear bulb is the problem though.

Re: Turn signal problem.
wow thats an odd one
so only the front right doesnt blink, and only with the turn signal switched on?
wierd.....
i would have to presume that if the wire for the right side was cut inside the column then the front right light would not blink with the hazards either
id have to say bad contact in the signal switch assembly
check rear bulbs sockets too
hmmm

Re: Turn signal problem.
It sounds like one of your bulbs or ground wires is bad. Something like that in the turn signal circuitry will cause the flasher relay to go haywire.
The hazard switch will make everything like it should because the hazard switch forces the flasher relay to flash.
I would check every bulb and every ground wire on all 4 corners.

Re: Turn signal problem.
check the connectors on the lights in question.
If any of the light sockets have green tint in them, just clean the sockets with some sandpaper or steelwool and make sure to add some dielectric grease to them before plugging them back in.
