Heating fan randomly turns on and off.
I think there is probably a lose wire or connection somewhere, because when I hit a bump or a rough patch the fan will turn on or off. I just need to know where to start looking for a problem. I would think to pull the heater control panel and look back there for an issue, but I'm not sure exactly where to look.

If so I would suggest looking at the wiring on the pass. side of the eng. compartment.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the blower motor and relays so I know what I'm looking at?

you can find wiring diagrams at the top of this page in the stickys section.
I would just start checking the connectors under the hood on the pass. side close to the firewall, where the a/c & heat wiring is located.I think you might just have a bad connection there somewhere.
Hope that helps you,Tim

I found the connector you were talking about, and it was all gunked up with this weird tar/wax/grease crap. It was really tacky and thick. I cleaned it out and now it seems to work fine. Any idea on what that stuff was.

Well it stopped working again (just in time for the coldest time of year). Any tips on testing to see if the motor is the issue or if it is a relay issue of some sort?
