Headlight Replaced, But Still Doesn't Turn on

Driver side low beam went out on me, so I replaced it and I still get nothing. Thought it might be the bulb so I tried it on the passenger side headlight and it worked. Is there a fuse for the drivers side low beam or something? The running lights work fine, parking lights good, hi-beams on both sides work fine, it is just the driver side low-beam that I can't get to work right. I thought maybe a fuse but i find it hard to believe there is just a fuse for the driver side low-beam. I checked the wiring (of all I could see) and the connection and it doesn't look corroded or torn. Any ideas?

Most cars in fact do have separate circuits for left and right low beam. I woud check the light switch. If you can't find anything, go back from the bulb wiring and see how far up to the light switch you can go to get current.

My mone is on the light switch.

on an '04?! damn...light switch...there are curcuits in newer vehicles for left and right...but if the high beam is working...i don't know if it's 4 curcuits...high/low and left/right...but there are relays per side i do know that but i'm not sure of relays for seperate beams...check your relay boxes under the hood, take a relay out of something that you know is working...and possibly if they are the same plug type (usually are) then switch them and see if it fixes it and then try what was the headlight relay in the other thing and make sure it works just to check the relays, check all fuses in the fuse panel. I don't think wires would be an issue on an '04 unless it was crashed. Check the light socked itself...sometimes corroded or melting. Again, all this strange on an '04...no warranty service???

actually right now your best friend would be a digital volt meter...start figure out what leads are the power of what curcuit and start testing at each point...fuse panel...switch...relay box...socket...there has to be a short/cut wire/problem somewhere in that line

sounds about right...4got about that, lol. Those aren't going to be that cheap, i would check boneyards first if i was you...still gonna be hard to find but still available. Try and ask that shop to look up the compatability with those...see how many years you can go back, if it's the same for that body style...your going to have many years to look from. Then again also check your dealership...on such a young car...the headlight module shouldn't go bad and if the dealership wanted to have your service in the future if they just sold you the car they would try thier best to help you out (i.e. pay for parts not labor, or nothing at all). After buying my truck new and used, my dealer has tried their best to hook me up. See what you can do. But i would still check bone yards, you probably can do the swap by yourself. Good luck!
