Postal Money orders are cheap and they come with a paper trail and if it gets lost, you can get the money refunded.

Re: Universal Seqqential Turn Signals - Round 3

I always end up going to a local beer store to get my money orders since they are closer to my place than my bank. Costs a dollar, I fill it out in the car and drop it into the postal box before leaving the shopping center, takes a total of 5 minutes and is as simple as blinking.

Sold out yet stephen? I may bite on another one this friday depending on my bill situation and how my check looks. I'll pm ya and let ya know if it's coming or not.

Only 8 paid for, 3 "in-the-mail" M.O.s,,,So, plenty left right now. Around 15 sold, I won't be taking M.O., because I don't want people putting them in the mail, others Paypal, I'm sold out....THEN a M.O. shows up!

I don't count the M.O., since theres no way of knowing they'll actually be sent. I know of AT LEAST person who said "in-the-mail", yet I haven't seen it, and there's been PLENTY of time for it to get here. :dunno:

Things happen, and people financially can't follow through.

Re: Universal Seqqential Turn Signals - Round 3

How do these work exactly? Do you have pictures of the hardware you're selling? I'm about to buy another daily driver and was wondering if I install 3 smaller LED bulbs inside the tail light housing if what you sell would work?

Oh, and I plan on getting them for my Camaro when I'm done with the drivetrain and bodywork/painting.

It ties into your stock wiring, by design, but there is no reason you couldn't install new, individual bulbs too. It wouldn't care if different bulbs were used.

Basically, it takes the flasher signal, then outputs it to 3 lights, in sequence, instead of all 3 at once.

Here is a unit with the instructions.

Yeah. Only 8 SOLD, 4 "in-the-mail" M.O. orders.

No offense, but M.O. s don't always show up so......Funny thing is, on the first batch, I started with M.O. only, then had a bunch of people wanting to do Paypal, so I set up Paypal. Now, I get a lot of M.O. requests....

$50 shipped in the 48 states, PM me for international shipping quote, or Alaska/Hawaii. Or Paypal to SteveCranford@Austin.rr.com

Awsome, thanks for the info. Looks a bit like my Code3 headlight flasher module. Do you need to install an in-line fuse?

When I get some of the important things finsihed I'll drop you a line for one of these.

Re: Universal Seqqential Turn Signals - Round 3

No fuse needed. It only gets it's input from the flasher itself,

None of the .O. have shown up yet, so I've still got 12 available.

Here is 357transam's video of his car, with a STS unit.

From the list of interested people, I can only hope they didn't mail in M.O., as I haven't received any.

1. 2001GAGT

If these people had to back out, I understand things happen. But please let me know.

I do have 2 units sitting here, ready to ship. If Paypal payments are received by 5pm, I can ship that day. They close at 6pm.

Broke? Shoot me a pic. I assembled them Saturday & Sunday, and shipped Monday morning.

I'm curios what could have gotten broken in shipping.

That's good to hear. It just means the glue of the lid came loose, and there wasn't any REAL damage to the unit. I doubt you'll have any problems.

Re: Universal Seqqential Turn Signals - Round 3

FYRCHKN got his installed o his 91 TA Sunday, during the Daytona 500.

He swapped out his tail lights for GTA lights, so he had to rewire his 4 bulbs to 3 bulbs, and change the turn signal wires. Which really, was no big deal. Since the STS reroutes the turn light signals anyways, that portion is done anyways, the same for any other STS installation.

Right side, after Formula/TA to GTA light conversion....

Left side, after the needed wires were cut....

Left side, showing the STS unit wired up....

Close up of the above pic, STS wired up....

Camaro & Firebird 91/92 wiring are the same, so those cars will need a 5 minute/1 wire fix under the dash. After that, they'll be the same in the rear...2 new sockets, to change from 1156 bulbs to 1157 bulbs, and the standard rewiring in the rear.

But on Camaros, you've still got the amber portions of the lenses to contend with, but there are a bunch of successful amber to red conversions, and its not hard to do.

Re: Universal Seqqential Turn Signals - Round 3

It does not work on stock Camaros, it would require modification of your tail lights. You would need to turn the amber lense to red (can be done using "Candy Apple Red" translucent spray paint) and integrate the brake lights with turn signals (I wrote an article on how to do that).

If you are electrical savvy, you should not have a problem converting to integrated red tail lights.

Once you're done with your conversion, you can buy an STS unit from Stephen here, he still has some left.

Not yet. No Camaro buyer has shared a video yet.

But, after the amber to red conversion, it would look like in mi my avatar.

Yours went out Feb. 22, a Saturday morning. I sent 2 units out that morning, and haven't heard any problem with the other unit arriving.

More units are still available than should be available, as far as "I'm gonna get one." compared to actual buyers.

$50 shipped, and only 1 unit needed, per car.

These instructions are for a base Firebird, however the tail lights don't differ much from the Camaro which has only one brake bulb on each side.

Re: Universal Seqqential Turn Signals - Round 3

Only 6 units left. Built & ready to ship ASAP.

I'm surprised by the # of "I'll Paypal you today/send the M.O. tomorrow." then weeks go by, and nothing. Maybe 1 or 2 I could understand how things change....car breaks down....illness....things require $. But this happens like your local craigslist! Out of 10 "I'm on my way." 1 MIGHT show up.

In any case, I have 6 units built & ready to ship. Quite frankly, costs on this end have risen, but the sales price hasn't & after the way things have been going, I'm not sure its worth the trouble to bother building another batch, short of one person ordering a big batch....batches are built in quantities of 20.

On your 92 Trans Am, you'll need to make a small one-wire modification under the steering column to integrate your separate turn signals and brakes. Article here: http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=37

Takes me about 5 minutes, might take you 15 minutes.

Hope this helps.

The speed is determined by your flasher. The STS has ZERO control over the speed. If you get a slower flasher, that'll be the cure.
