What in the world just happened???
when i left for work the power was completely killed to my car. No interior lights or anything. then i jump start it. It turns on but when i put my auxillary on my battery, it gets killed. Then i get it jump started again, but the battery wouldnt go on. My light for the door wasnt on is how i knew. Then all of sudden i smack the battery and it goes on. I start the car then get ready to back out, i turn my lights on and it gets killed again. but this time i could start it by myself.
At my house i do every check in the world to see if i get a drain at all. ANd nothing. all i found was my knock sensor wire rubbing a header. But it wasnt enough to lose charge like that. All i could think was that knock sensor was shutting the car down or sumtin. idk
Also I had my car scanned today by my friend. Any correlation????

Re: What in the world just happened???
to me it sounds like a bad battery cable or ground ... to start with
When my battery cable started going bad, all of my lights would work until I hit my starter. Then everything would go out for a while (minutes).
What do you mean by putting your auxillary on ?? putting the key in aux position?
I guess the battery could be internally damaged... get it tested.

You also could have an internal short in the battery. I have seen cases of side post batteries losing conection to the plates.
Clean the connectors and do some testing.
1. Check the voltage across the battery terminals, is it fully chargerd? Should be ~ 12.6V
2. Check the same voltage while a friend attempts to crank the engine. Looking for a significant voltage drop to ID a bad battery.
3. Check the voltage of the battery cable connection to the starter (keeping the negative on the battery ground). This will test the voltage drop throuth the cable. Once again a significant drop at this point shows a connection problem, cable or corosion.

sounds like there is a loose connection somewhere. for it to start working after hitting it. check the connectors make sure they are tight. and check the cables make sure there are no breaks in the wires. and that the grounds are ok.

... brad you describe things so poorly... his AUX is that he has a dual post battery with the side terminals set up for the stock use and top terminal is for his stereo...
Brad have you ever double checked any of the connections to make sure they arent loose....
also if you keep buying the cheapest autozone battery is possible for this to happen
although this is battery # wat 6 in 3 months.....
----------
btw when are you gunna gimme back my TPI set up...
